Kevin Skenandore is a former acting director of BIE and now a co-founder and partner at New Legacy Partnerships, a consulting firm that among other issues specializes in Native American educational issues. An educator who started his career working in BIE schools, he’s also the kind of fly fisherman who can conjure fish out of the grass next to the river and dredge up trophies even when conditions are tough.  Here he is on Idaho’s Henry’s Fork last month with a lovely rainbow trout.  I can say with certainty that it was indeed lovely because I took the picture.
