New Charter Study

You’ll hear a lot about this new study of charter schools from New York, and it is cautiously optimistic news and worth watching. You should check it out. But don’t pop the champagne just yet because (a) it’s early so more data coming from future years, especially at the high school level and (b) NY is going to be adding a host of new charter schools since the cap there was raised and that could impact quality — positively or negatively. Also, some good descriptive information about charter schools in the study.
