Week End Odds And Ends

Over at Kitchen Table Math they are having a moment of schadenfreude over my descent into constructivist hell. And, here’s a fun and interesting blog you should add to your list, it’s by Abdul Kargbo, who runs graphics and layout work for ES. Via his brother, blogger Eric Berlin is up in arms about a question on a state test from New York.

Though it’s relatively unrelated to education, this is a real tragedy and I’m glad it’s finally getting more attention. I’ve fished and canoed on those rivers for most of my life, one of my daughters is named after the Shenandoah, so it’s just heartbreaking to see them sick like this and another reason the environmental community and the hook and bullet crowd should make common cause.
