This is a good conference (and any workshops by Paul O’Neill will make your entire trip worthwhile), and Portland is lovely (though it’s harder than it should be to find blueberry pie) at that time of year. And, if you really like hanging with the barristers, The Wingspread Pipeline project has its meeting in early October in Texas. The goal is taking steps to foster more diversity in the legal profession’s pipeline.
