SCOTUS On Race And School Assignment

The Supreme Court struck down both plans 5-4. The opinion is here (pdf). More later but for now note that as rumored Justice Roberts wrote the opinions. Also, some interesting implications for school choice when the dust settles here. This avenue for better racial school integration seems closed says Roberts:

“The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.”
