The Congressional Black Caucus is hosting what promises to be a great (a must-hear?) discussion on April 16th from 5:30 – 7 in the Capitol (pdf) about “African American Male High School Underachievement and the No Child Left Behind Act.”

Congressman Charles Rangel will deliver welcoming remarks and panelists include: Governor Bob Wise, President Alliance for Excellent Education; Amy Wilkins, Principal Partner The Education Trust; Robert Balfanz, Associate Research Scientists Center for Social Organization of Schools; Jeffrey Robinson, Principal Baltimore Talent Development High School; David Miller, Co-Founder Urban Leadership Institute; James Forman, Jr. Associate Professor Georgetown University Law Center; and Demetrius Brown, senior at KIMA Charter School.
