More RF

More Reading First action, new IG report out and Ed Week (here and here) and Title I Monitor* (here and here) have new stories out. It’s not good news, to be sure, for the Dep’t of Ed, and I think Mike Petrilli and others were much too cavalier about it all in their defense of it. But, that said, I’m still having trouble seeing this as a huge scandal or the cause for jumping up and down that some do. I’ll await the hearings…*I’m on the editorial advisory board but had nothing to do with this story.
