    Highlight from the contract FAQ:

WILL TEACHERS BE PENALIZED IF THEY GET ASSIGNED A CHALLENGING GROUP OF STUDENTS?
We understand that teachers do not control the students they are assigned. We also understand that all students are different and come to school with different levels of preparation and support. To respond to these issues, the new agreement will be focused around a collaborative effort between teachers and their instructional leaders, the principals of their schools. Teachers’ evaluations will be based on a four‐ tier system that will include careful principal observations of their work. Reports for all certificated staff will include student growth measures, which we will work with teachers to develop. This includes collaborative work to determine how best to factor in student demographics.
