The point about human capital is important. But at least for the group of schools in question that issue is not nearly as distressing. AUSL, the entrepreneurial school management organization that will manage the turnaround schools, started as a teacher residency program and has been applauded for its strong teacher training work. As such, a large majority of the new teachers will have trained together, developed a common language and processes for collaboration, and will go together as a team to each of the turnaround schools.
