Chicago International Charter School (CICS), which operates 11 campuses in Chicago, along with NewSchools Venture Fund, is creating a new School Management Organization that will focus on “turning around” chronically low-performing public schools in Chicago. This new organization, called ChicagoRise, will take on the management of poor performing public schools and put in place the people and programs necessary to provide a first-rate education to all students. CICS and NewSchools are now searching for a CEO for ChicagoRise. A great candidate would be entrepreneurial, deeply committed to making sure that all students have the opportunity to attend a high-quality, college preparatory school, and have the management and education experience to make this happen.
