Buried in today’s WaPo profile of Mitt Romney’s data guy is some discussion of the micro-targeting that the Bush campaign did with African-American voters in 2004 around education and some other issues. In swing states like Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania this could be a real issue as views on school choice change. Doesn’t mean Democrats need to embrace vouchers, but it does mean that something more than “no” is necessary on the choice issue.
