New Calder Stable

The new CALDER website is up and running. If longitudinal data and the analytic leverage it offers for answering some research and policy questions is your thing then the National Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research is for you! Jane Hannaway, right, is the PI but other big names involved include David Figlio, Dan Goldhaber, Eric Hanushek, Paul A. Jargowsky, Helen F. Ladd, Susanna Loeb, and Michael Podgursky. There is already a some work there to check out, including a new David Harris – Tim Sass paper (pdf) on National Board Certified Teachers that can’t be making too many people at National Board HQ happy…it even raises the dreaded cost-benefit question…IES is bankrolling the CALDER project and it’s money well spent.
