About Bellwether Education Partners
Bellwether Education Partners is a nonprofit organization offering specialized professional services and thought leadership to the entrepreneurial education reform field. Bellwether is a mission-driven organization, dedicated to building a robust community of innovative, effective, and sustainable organizations and leaders in the public education sector that are committed to dramatically accelerating the achievement of low-income students. We do this by providing specialized, practical, and actionable services to organizations and individuals in the pre-kindergarten to higher education space as well as through work to change the education policy environment focusing on four primary areas of activity:
- Thought leadership, policy strategy, and knowledge generation for the field led by Andrew Rotherham
- Leadership and organizational development led by Kim Smith
- Strategic advising, including internal and external organizational strategy led by Mary Wells
- Executive search and placement led by Monisha Lozier
So we are a hybrid organization undertaking traditional think tank work as well as fee-for-service activities for organizations that meet our readiness criteria for commitment to low-income students. The Eduwonk blog is part of Bellwether’s thought leadership and knowledge generation work.
